Classic Car Litigation

We act for numerous auction houses, leading dealers and private individuals both in the UK and overseas
We have been responsible for a number of important cases in the courts relating to classic and historic racing cars including the landmark cases of Brewer v Mann in 2012 and Robert Gray v Richard Smith in 2013.

Peter Groh v Jim Stokes Workshops Ltd

Wilmots acted for Peter Groh in a High Court claim for damages against Jim Stokes Workshops Ltd for work carried out to an Alfa Romeo 6C chassis, to convert it to take an Alfa Romeo 8C 2.3 engine, which JSW Ltd had built for Mr Groh.

Clarification on the enforceability of verbal agreements


Wilmots Litigation represented Frank Sytner (founder of the Sytner Group) in a claim against Thomas Boettcher. Mr Boettcher was a collector of classic Porsche racing cars.
